Meet Holy
Basil. This herb is native to India where it is considered a
sacred plant that is said to clear the aura and open the heart.
Holy Basil, or
Tulsi, is best known for its ability to help the body adapt to
stress. It grows abundantly right here in our
Hippocrates Organic Garden. What a great way to find some all
natural stress relief during one of our breaks. It only takes a couple of leaves to turn it into a comforting tea!
Holy Basil Tea:
• Simply cover 2 teaspoons of fresh tulsi leaves (5 leaves or so) with 8 oz of hot water.
• Cover it and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
• Strain the leaves off and enjoy!
